Larry Clark Receives Kentucky BioAlliance Award

Louisville, KY—The Kentucky BioAlliance presented Representative Larry Clark with an award for his service and support of the biotech industry in Kentucky at the organization’s annual meeting Wednesday, December 8, 2010.  The award was presented during tomorrow’s luncheon at noon at the Galt House in Louisville.

The Kentucky BioAlliance is a member organization to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among Kentucky’s bioscience industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and education institutions.

Larry Clark has been instrumental in the development of the University of Louisville’s Nucleus Haymarket Research project by supporting tax increment financing for the research center, and he was instrumental in securing $5 million in funding for the MetaCyte Business Lab developed in conjunction with the Nucleus project.  “I will continue to seek innovative ways to support science and technology-based businesses and education,” said Larry Clark.  “I will work to champion and support public and private partnership and investment in biotechnology to create more jobs across the Commonwealth.”
