Transportation Update: KYTC awards projects to rehabilitate pavement including 46th District
FRANKFORT, Ky. – In an ongoing effort to improve existing roads throughout the Commonwealth, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has awarded five contracts, totaling nearly $5 million, for projects to provide much-needed repair of asphalt pavement on state and U.S. routes in three Kentucky counties.
The Kentucky Highway Plan contains funding for pavement rehabilitation on numerous roadways in need of repair.
The 46th House District was included in the road plan:
· Jefferson County – Fisherville Road (KY 148) from KY 155 to the Jefferson-Shelby County line, a distance of 3.33 miles, and East Manslick Road (KY 2845) from KY 61 to KY 864, a distance of 3.78 miles. Riverside Paving and Contracting Inc. was awarded the contract for $537,293. Completion date: June 30, 2013.
